AMRICC Academy Newsletter January 2026
AMRICC Academy
Happy New Year!
We’re kicking off 2026 with the second edition of The AMRICC Academy newsletter. The AMRICC Academy’s training community continues to grow and we’re expanding our course offering with fresh content and new partnerships. Whether you’re already learning with us or just getting started, we’re glad to have you with us as we continue building skills for the industry’s future.
This year also brings an important milestone for our sector: 12 March 2026 marks the first-ever International Day of Ceramics, a global initiative celebrating the diversity of ceramic materials, their essential properties and the vital role they play across modern technology, medicine, and industry. The day aims to highlight how ceramics underpin so many aspects of everyday life, from traditional clay products to advanced materials used in electronics, aerospace, and healthcare, many of which often go unseen. Our training programmes directly support the skills and knowledge needed across these diverse ceramic applications, and we’re looking forward to celebrating ceramics as such a versatile and impactful material alongside the global community. Keep an eye out for International Day of Ceramics events!
New Refractories Training Course
Following the positive feedback from our first in-person refractory course, we’re pleased to announce the launch of our new self-guided Introduction to Refractories eLearning course. Enrol now here: academy.amricc.com/courses/intro-refractories-training
This online course complements our updated intermediate-level Refractory Materials & Applications Training, held at Lucideon’s headquarters in Staffordshire. We recommend completing the Introduction to Refractories course first to get the most value from the in-person experience.
Already experienced in refractories? You’re welcome to go straight to the intermediate course, which builds on foundational theory with practical demonstrations, facility tours, and insights from industry experts at Lucideon and the AMRICC Centre.
