Practical Microscopy for Technicians

Provider HEaTED

HEaTED

Product description

This course provides a detailed introduction to the fundamental principles and hands-on techniques of microscopy. Participants will learn about the essential components and configurations of microscopes, including light paths, resolution, and magnification, with a focus on achieving optimal image quality.

  • Key topics include an overview of brightfield microscopy and its components, the Köhler illumination setup and alignment process, and an introduction to phase contrast microscopy. Through practical, hands-on sessions, you will gain valuable experience in setting up and using brightfield and phase contrast microscopes effectively.
  • By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of microscope configurations, be able to apply the Köhler illumination alignment process, and confidently use phase contrast techniques for enhanced image clarity in various biological and scientific applications.
  • Learn about microscope components, configurations, resolution, and magnification, including brightfield and phase contrast techniques, with hands-on practice time.
