Delivered over 4 sessions, the course aims to provide a general overview of the firing process, offering information related to the chemical-physical aspects of the process and the defects resulting from product transformations. Finally, the course will explore machine control systems and alternative technologies of the present and future.

  • Identify and manage defects resulting from transformations during the firing process.
  • Understanding of how different ceramic body compositions affect the firing process and product quality.
