This beginner level course is offered by our training partner, the Hartree Centre. This course introduces some of the challenges in collecting data such that it can be used effectively in later data analytics projects.
In this Introductory level course you will learn about the types of data there are and the implications when processing them to enable you to recognise what data you collect already and what you could be collecting. You will also learn how to select representative data, clean and remove errors from your data while gaining an understanding of the legal and ethical issues around data and how long data should be kept for.
This course has no pre-requisites and is suitable for all but will particularly appeal to those who would like to understand how to improve data handling in their organisation and start the process of digital transformation. While there are no pre-requisites to this course, a general understanding of mathematical terminology will be beneficial.
